An electric vehicle’s battery caught fire next to the gas pumps at a gas station in Brooklyn Center. The driver was inside the store when the rental car started smoking. Station staff cut off the gas flow to the pumps and an officer used his squad car to push the vehicle away from the fuel pumps and into the parking lot.
