To get in the festive spirit we’ve hooked up a Christmas tree to our bionic arms to help it play Jingle Bells. In this performance bioelectrical signals in the tree determine when it moves its arms, but we set which arm it moves/ note it plays (unlike our other videos where the plants/ fungi fully improvise). Even still, it did play quite a few notes we weren’t expecting it
