I carved this cane a few years ago using a piece of lodgepole pine for the handle and red cedar for the shaft. It features the wildlife of the Southwest desert, including a sidewinder rattlesnake, a mouse, and a scorpion. I carved the cane to look like an old cholla cactus skeleton.
