A fun, simple and effective cake using a swiped spatula design as the base. I LOVE the look of this swiped design. I think it can look pretty prof and classy without being overly rustic. The trick here is to make sure as much of your spatula is in contact with the frosting as possible when you make your swipe. Minimal pressure is also a good way to keep it smooth. I you want to make it extra smooth, dip your spatula in boiling hot water and wipe it down quickly before going over your frosting. T
