Rhythm Reading Lesson 2 - 8th notes and quarter notes. Here are some useful practice tips: 1. Alternate hands right (R) to left (L) at all times. 2. Count OUT LOUD 1 2 3 4 throughout . 3. Start slowly and gradually increase the tempo. 4. Practice with the metronome to build a sense of pulse. 5. Repeat each pattern at least 8 times without stopping or mistakes. 6.
